    This tour covers a drive along the Golden Mile; the Snake Park, curio vendors selling African art and crafts and the energetic Rickshaw pullers. Ushaka Marine World is briefly covered and whilst traveling along the Victoria Embankment one can see the Vasco Da Gama Clock, Dick King and John Ross statues.
    Time permitting, a drive into the Wilsons Wharf allows for an amazing view of the harbor and the Sugar Terminal as well as the Botanic Gardens. A stop at the Indian spice Market allows for some shopping for spices and souvenirs. A visit to the Moses Mabhida Stadium where you have the option to take the sky-car ride (guest’s own account) to the top of the stadium for an amazing aerial view of Durban and its surrounds is a must.

    Umhlanga Explorer takes you on a journey to spend the day at Phezulu Safari Park to experience local Zulu culture, the crocodile and snake parks. Thereafter we travel along Valley of a Thousand Hills and Tala Private Game Park.
    Tala Private Game Reserve in Kwa-Zulu Natal is situated about 45minutes from Durban and the reserve is home to Giraffes, Rhino, Hippo, Antelope, zebras and other animals including more than 300 species of bird-life. Spread over a few thousand acres, this can be explored in open vehicle safari vehicles allowing one to get up close and personal to giraffes, rhinos, antelopes, warthogs and other wild animals in their natural habitat.

    The awe-inspiring Sani Pass climbs the face of the escarpment to an altitude of 2874m and into the "Mountain Kingdom of Lesotho". It is the getaway to the "Roof of Africa". The scenery is breathtaking and attracts visitors from all over the world.
    Originally developed as a bridal path in 1913, the pass served as an important link between the Underberg district and the remote settlement of Mokhotlong, in north-eastern Lesotho. The first vehicle negotiated the path in 1948. It is now used for the most part by 4x4 vehicles and has become the highlight of the Southern Drakensberg.
    The tour will reveal the history of the pass, geology of the mountains, flora & fauna, and a unique experience with the Basotho people. The highest pub in Africa offers a cold beer & lunch before the descent back to Underberg.

    We drive North through sugar cane plantations towards Zululand into Hluhluwe-Africa's oldest game reserve. Once the ancient hunting grounds of Zulu kings-now a magnificent place where you can view the big 5 game.     The Hluhluwe-Umfolozi Park is one of the oldest and most prestigious of the South African game parks. Located 280km north of Durban, this 960km˛ wilderness has a warm and moist climate.     Travel on a historical trip (Westwards) going via Greytown, the Tugela Ferry and Fugitive's drift passing hills of sugar cane fields and forest plantations. Continue to Rorke Drift and the battlefields of Isandlwana.
    The first battle of the Anglo-Zulu War of 1879 was at Isandlawana, when the 1500 strong British invading force was routed by Zulu “impis” (warriors). On the same day, the Zulus attacked Rorkes Drift, a small Swedish mission station used by the British army as a magazine and hospital. It was here that for 12 hours the “heroic hundred” repelled a force of 4000 Zulus, losing 17 men and winning 11 Victoria Crosses - the most ever awarded for a single military engagement.

After a light lunch (own account) we travel by boat on the estuary where you can see Nile crocodile, hippo and many species of birds such as fish eagle.
    The Greater St. Lucia Wetland area, Africa's oldest nature reserve and a World Heritage Site is the largest estuarine system in Africa.
